Rough Terrain for HBM? Empty Rough Terrain for HBM?

    Post  starfox260 Wed Mar 25, 2009 2:29 pm

Anybody want to draw out where everything should be on this map so I know what I'm doing? Just label it all in MSPaint or whatever Mac has.

I need a better picture of the layout of it so I can start roughing out the world.

And this - just draw over it where everything should be.

    Unfinished Picture Uploaded!
    HBM First Sketch

Directly in front: the main tree and hives
To your right: The Mushroom Forest
To your left: An unfinished field with mumbo's hut on a hill. This'll be where the huge veggie garden will be
Behind the Tree: The "Too-Tall Tower Flower Field" (aka: A bunch of huge flowers)

I'll color it once it's done.

[EDIT] Do you think you could make the grass look more realistic & Brighter? Like having strands of grass rather than a flat surface? The one you made looks too much like B-K & B-T.

How about in certain spots? I'll see what I can do, but I don't think people's processor's will be able to handle a lot of realistic grass. I'll try doing som patches of more realistic grass, see if it will work out.

I'll do some preliminary work, see what I can come up with. I'll be working quite slowly due to time constrains and creative licence, so I'll try and have something approaching a quarter of the map produced within the month, just to get an idea for polygon counts and overall design elements. Also, I'll be doing this on a 100 scale. So I'll be working on the assumption that Banjo will be 100 high, or just under.
